36 Instants is an independent feature film conceived and realized by Marcel Lapeyre, who undertook the writing, cinematography, direction, and editing of the project, with the support of Cinema Clandestí, a collective of artists.
Synopsis
A metacinematic exploration of the fragile boundaries between reality and fiction, where the camera becomes both a witness to and a reflection of memory. As the distinction between lived experience and constructed narrative gradually dissolves, the film examines the ways in which memory reshapes, distorts, and reconstructs our perception of reality.
The film features Mars Vinolo in the leading role, alongside Catalina Cova, Mauricio Vallejos, Gerard Cunillera, Isabel Rico, and Luca Butturini.
The original score, composed and performed by Joan Franco, complements the film’s cinematic vision, while the graphic design was created by Laia Ollé.
36 Instants premiered in December 2025 at La Cinetika, an occupied, feminist, and anti-capitalist cinema in Barcelona, Spain.
