Somnis de vidre is a deeply personal short film for Marcel Lapeyre, born from a dream he experienced with Francesca and later transformed into a cinematic work.
The film follows a filmmaker who ventures into the depths of Montjuïc in search of material for her next project. As she moves deeper into the mountain, the boundaries between reality, imagination, and the mysteries that inhabit the landscape begin to dissolve.
Shot entirely in a single afternoon, Somnis de vidre embraces the immediacy and spontaneity of its making, turning a fleeting idea into a physical and cinematic experience.
The film was premiered and screened at La Antiga Massana during its final summer, shortly before the Barcelona City Council closed and demolished the historic space. Once an emblematic site of the city’s independent cultural and artistic community, La Antiga Massana became an integral part of the film’s own history, preserving a moment in time that, like the dream from which the project emerged, could not be repeated.
